Rappers spill the beans in email to fans
Beastie Boys‘ new album will be named ‘Hot Sauce Committee’, the trio have revealed.
The hip hop veterans unveiled the title in an email message to fans yesterday (May 25).
‘Hot Sauce Committee’ will be the trio’s first album since 2007’s instrumental set ‘The Mix-Up’.
Bandmember Adam ‘Ad-Rock’ Horowitz had previously told Billboard that the album will be a more traditional Beastie Boys affair.
“It’s a lot of vocals – very wordy,” he said. “It’s political, depending on what you call political. You know, if toilet talk and fart jokes are political, which they can be, in that sense yeah, very.”
Beastie Boys recently gave away two new tracks as hidden vinyl extras inside box-sets of ‘Check Your Head’. It is unclear whether they will feature on ‘Hot Sauce Committee’.
The new album, which had the previous working title ‘Tadlock’s Glasses’, does not yet have a release date.
