The track is the first to come from the band's new album 'Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance'
Belle & Sebastian have shared the first single from their forthcoming new album, ‘Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance’.
Click above to listen to the disco-inspired ‘The Party Line’, which is taken from the band’s follow-up to 2010’s ‘Write About Love’. ‘Girls In Peacetime Want To Dance’ will be released on January 19, 2015. The album was produced by Ben H Allen III (Animal Collective, Gnarls Barkley) and will be available on CD, 2xLP and four-disc boxset with bonus tracks, extended mixes and more.
The band will support the release of the album with a tour starting in Cardiff on May 3, 2015. Belle & Sebastian will then perform in Bristol, Portsmouth, Cambridge, Norwich, Birmingham, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Buxton and Leeds before a homecoming show at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on May 22. The tour will see the band perform 12 dates in total, plus a headline set at Liverpool Sound City. The Scottish band are the first confirmed headliners for next year’s event, which will celebrate its eighth birthday in 2015.
Earlier this year, the Scottish indie-pop legends picked up the Outstanding Contribution To Music award at the 2014 NME Awards.
