Scottish band confirmed for European festival appearance
Belle & Sebastian will headline All Tomorrrow’s Parties Iceland in 2015.
The Scottish band will head to the former NATO base in Keflavík, which is now called Ásbrú, next year to headline the third festival held in Iceland by ATP.
“We very much look forward to playing ATP Iceland. We have very strong connections with ATP, and can’t wait to do another All Tomorrow’s Parties in one of our favourite places,” said Richard Colburn of the band. “We loved Camber Sands in 1999, and Minehead in 2010, so to do it in Iceland will be a treat. It’s been so long since we played In Iceland. It’ll be fantastic. We can’t wait!”
ATP founder Barry Hogan added: “Each year the event is growing and we are working on a fantastic lineup to follow on from the likes of Portishead and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Belle & Sebastian is now our first headliner in what promises to be an exciting third chapter of the ATP Iceland chronicle.”
Portishead and Interpol headlined ATP Iceland 2014. Celebrating its second year, the festival took place between July 10 and 12. Portishead headlined on July 11 and Interpol led the bill on July 12 alongside Icelandic acts Sóley, For a Minor Reflection, Samaris, Low Roar and Mammút.
ATP’s regular UK weekender events came to a close at the end of last year with two final End Of An Era events.
