Entering its 12th year, Latitude festival will see with The KillersSolange and Alt-J as headliners. The bill will also performances from Jessie Ware, Wolf Alice, The Vaccines, The Breeders and many more.

The Scottish band will be performing on Friday night (July 13) at the Obelisk Arena. Speaking about Latitude, keyboardist Chris Geddes said to Dork: “Latitude is a great festival, we’re really excited to be playing at it again this year. Hopefully this time my mum will behave herself”.

Late last year, Stuart Murdoch spoke to NME about Noel Gallagher’s perception of the ’90s being much ‘freer’ for musicians. “Nah – he’s just saying it’s freer because he doesn’t realise he’s so rich and privileged”.

Murdoch continued: “That’s probably his perception of freedom. On the whole, people are probably freer to express themselves now more than any other time in history. Anybody can make a record these days”.

Belle & Sebastian released the third part of their ‘How To Solve Our Human Problems’ EP trio back in February. Speaking to NME about the three releases, Stuart Murdoch said that he’d been “inspired by the dystopian nightmare” of our current world.

Latitude festival will return to Henham Park, Suffolk from Thursday 12 – Sunday 15 July. Weekend tickets are available from £197.50 and you can buy them here.
