Ne-Yo reveals Beyoncé is still working on new album

R&B singer confirms that long-awaited album is still not ready

Ne-Yo has revealed that Beyonce is still working on her long-awaited new album, saying that fans will have to be “patient” for the record to arrive.

The R&B singer has worked on Beyoncé’s new material and revealed the singer and her team are still “trying to figure out” what they want from the album.

Speaking to Billboard, he said: “I’m still putting stuff together for Beyoncé’s album. They’re still trying to figure out what they want that to be, which I’m not mad at. Beyoncé’s the kind of artist where you’re not gonna see it till it’s right. And her fans – they love her so they’ll be patient.”

Ne-Yo also spoke about his work on Jay-Z‘s new album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’. The rapper’s 12th studio album will be released on July 4 as part of a multi-million pound deal with Samsung. Discussing his time in the studio with the rapper, Ne-Yo said: “The thing about Jay is again you don’t know until it’s done. I went in, I did a session where I laid down a couple hooks but I have no idea what’s going to be kept. I heard some of the new stuff. It’s amazing. With Jay-Z it’s hard not to be amazing.”

Beyoncé has unveiled a handful of new songs in 2013, including the track ‘Grown Woman’, which was premiered via a Pepsi advert show during the half-time show of this year’s Super Bowl, and ‘Standing On The Sun’, which she recently played in full for the first time at a gig in Belgium.
