Beyoncé tells fans to ‘get in formation’ and vote

Beyonce told fans to “get in formation” while encouraging them to vote in the upcoming US Presidential election.

The star was performing at the Tidal X 1015 concert at New York’s Barclays Center last night (October 15) when she gave a speech on the importance of voting.

The show also featured the likes of Nicki Minaj, Common, T.I., Lauryn Hill and more. All proceeds raised were given to the Robin Hood Foundation, which aims to help those living in poverty.

“Doing nothing right now is not an option, y’all,” she addressed the crowd. “I know it seems like things are bad, but if you think that can’t get worse just ask your grandparents. Remember Barack Obama is our President. You made that happen, young people made that happen.”

She continued: “We are not helpless. The fire is still burning. Please go out and vote this November. So many people have died and sacrificed so much for us to have our voice, we have to use it. Get in formation. Use our voices to do something great for our children.”

Earlier in the night, Beyoncé had cut her ear while singing. As BET reports, the singer appeared to either accidentally rip her earring out or get it caught in her hair mid-performance.

Fan-shot footage shows her touching her bleeding ear, looking at her hand and carrying on singing ‘Haunted’. Watch the moment below.
