WHERE IS OUR NUMBER ONE?

Even The Darkness couldn't shift 'Where Is The Love?' from the top....

The Darkness have been pipped to the number one spot by Black Eyed Peas in the official UK chart.

The band’s re-release of ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’ had been widely anticipated to go straight in at number one. But the anthem failed to shift Black Eyed Peas from the top, whose ‘Where Is The Love?’ remains there for a fourth week.

Other new entries in the top ten include the Paul Oakenfold remix of Elvis Presley’s ‘Rubberneckin’ at five, Evanescence with ‘Going Under’ at eight and Delta Goodrem with ‘Innocent Eyes’ at nine.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs score a new entry at 26 with ‘Maps’.

The Darkness also sit in second place on the album chart, with ‘Permission To Land’ being knocked off the top by Muse, whose ‘Absolution’ is a new entry at number one.

Elsewhere in the album chart, Limp Bizkitare straight in at seven with ‘Results May Vary’.
