Legendary axeman names his fourth child after the metal giants

and Black Label Society frontman and former guitarist with Ozzy Osbourne Zakk Wylde has given his newborn son a suitably metal name, Sabbath.

The axeman and his wife Barbaranne revealed today (July 5) that their fourth child has been named Sabbath Page Wielandt Wylde, with a first name inspired by heavy metal legends Black Sabbath.

The new addition to the Wylde clan joins siblings Hayley Rae, Jesse and another named after a seminal musician, Hendrix.

Zakk Wylde became Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist in 1987 after sending the singer a demo tape. He performed with the band right up until 2009 when he left to be replaced by Firewind guitarist Gus G.

Wylde, who recently performed at this year’s Download Festival, released his eighth studio album with Black Label Society ‘Order Of The Black’ and planning to release an acoustic DVD named ‘Unblackened’ later this year.
