Pop-punk band have shared song via 10-hour loop
Blink-182 have shared new song ‘Built This Pool’, which is just 14 seconds long.
The song will feature on the group’s new album ‘California’. Although it is short, Blink posted the track as part of a 10-hour loop which can be heard below.
Mark Hoppus takes lead vocals on the song and sings: “I want to see some naked dudes, that’s why I built this pool” in the back-to-basics track. A voice at the end is heard asking, “That really it?”
‘California’ will be released on July 1 and was preceded by new song ‘Bored To Death’, which premiered earlier this month. The single marks the first new recording by the band since 2011’s ‘Neighbourhoods’.
‘Bored To Death’ sees Alkaline Trio man Matt Skiba take DeLonge’s place in a recorded format for the first time, with Skiba having previously stepped into the fold for live shows.
The band have also confirmed a run of North American tour dates, as well as confirming the ‘California’ release details. See Blink-182’s upcoming live dates in full here.
