Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has threatened to take legal action against a gossip website after they posted naked photos of him online.

The website, MediaTakeOut.com, published the photos on Wednesday (January 18) and reported that an unnamed musician had sent them to a female admirer.

However, readers were quickly able to identify Barker’s private parts by his distinctive tattoos and soon the photos were circulating around the internet.

According to TMZ, Barker’s lawyer Evan Spiegel has sent a cease and desist letter to MediaTakeOut.com and instructed them to take the photos down.

The website also says that sources close to the drummer have said that the photographs are over five years old and were “private and never intended for public viewing or to be seen by anyone else.”

Blink-182 tour the UK this summer, playing a full arena tour and are likely to feature prominently on the European festival circuit.
