Mark Hoppus names band's sixth studio LP in Google+ chat

Blink-182 have said that their sixth studio album will be titled ‘Neighborhoods’ and will be released on September 27 in the US.

Speaking in a chat with fans on Google+, frontman Mark Hoppus responded to a question about the new album by naming it and giving a release date.

Hoppus wrote: “The new Blink-182 album will be titled ‘Neighborhoods’ and is tentatively scheduled for release on September 27.”

The album is the California trio’s first since 2003 and is the result of a lengthy recording process which saw the band postpone their UK arena tour and festival appearances by a full year to complete work on the LP. Blink-182 have not yet confirmed whether the album will be released in the same week in the UK or what the album’s tracklisting will be.
