Blink-182 bring flaming ‘Fuck’ sign back at Reading and Leeds warm-up show

Band play career-spanning set but no new material at O2 Academy Brixton performance

Blink-182 played a warm-up gig for their Reading and Leeds Festival headline shows in London last night (August 6).

The US pop-punk trio played the first of two dates at O2 Academy Brixton ahead of Reading and Leeds, which this year takes place between August 22 and 24. Reading and Leeds 2014 will also be headlined by Arctic Monkeys, Queens Of The Stone Age and Paramore.

The band did not play any material from their forthcoming new album, but did perform a set filled with fan favourites, including opening track ‘Feeling This’. Later in the set, frontman Tom DeLonge, alongside bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker, revealed a unique backdrop with the word ‘Fuck’ spelled out in flaming letters.

Elsewhere in the set Blink-182 covered The Misfits’ ‘Hybrid Moments’, while a three-song encore consisted of ‘Violence’, ‘Dammit’ and ‘Family Reunion’.

Blink-182 played:

‘Feeling This’
‘What’s My Age Again?’
‘The Rock Show’
‘Up All Night’
‘I Miss You’
‘Wishing Well’
‘Stay Together For The Kids’
‘After Midnight’
‘First Date’
‘Dogs Eating Dogs’
‘Hybrid Moments’ (Misfits cover)
‘Man Overboard’
‘Ghost On The Dancefloor’
‘All The Small Things’
‘Family Reunion’

Blink-182 will return to the O2 Academy Brixton tomorrow night (August 8). To check the availability of Blink-182 tickets click here .
