Bloc Party to feature on remix compilation

They join a host of other big names

Bloc Party, Depeche Mode and The Rapture are to feature on a new compilation album.

‘A Remix Selection’, which is due out on December 4, sees a host of tracks reworked by Parisian dance outfit Black Strobe.

The album features a doom disco version of Bloc Party‘s ‘Like Eating Glass’, a remoulding of Depeche Mode‘s ‘Something To Do’ and The Rapture‘s ‘Sister Saviour’.

Black Strobe, which is made up of dance duo Ivan Smagghe and Arnaud Rebotini, will release their debut album in spring 2007.

Before that the band will unleash a Paul Epworth remix of new single ‘Shining Bright Star’ as a one off 12″ on November 27.
