Mark Ronson and Yuck also play at Vice event
Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke overcame technical problems to play a triumphant solo gig in London last night (July 17).
Arriving onstage at the Victoria House Basement around 30 minutes late, Okereke suffered technical problems at the end of set opener ‘Walk Tall’, forcing him to temporarily leave the stage as boos rang among the crowd.
He returned a few minutes later to play the song again, along with other solo material from his debut album ‘The Boxer’ such as ‘Tenderoni’.

Earlier in the evening, newcomers Yuck played a well-received set, which saw single ‘Georgia’ get the biggest reaction from fans.
Earlier Ronson was joined onstage by Duran Duran and Kaiser Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson at the Lovebox festival, for a set which also included a collaboration with The View‘s Kyle Falconer for a version of ‘Valerie’ and ‘The Bike Song’.
