Bloc Party have announced that they will play their seminal debut album ‘Silent Alarm’ in its entirety on a European tour later this year. Full dates and ticket details are below.
The seminal album was released in 2005 to huge acclaim, receiving a Mercury Prize nomination and named as NME’s album of the year.
Now, the Kele Okereke led band have announced that they’ll revisit the record with a huge European tour in October, culminating with a huge show at London’s Alexandra Palace. It has since been confirmed that the tour will be with the band’s current line-up, rather than the original ‘Silent Alarm’ formation that featured Matt Tong on drums and Gordon Moakes on bass.
You can see the dates in full below, with tickets going on sale this Friday and available here.

NME’s review in 2005 stated: “‘Silent Alarm’ is the unpigeonholeable soundtrack to 21st-century life as a cast-off. In a world of posers, fakers and bandwagon-jumpers, Bloc Party are unquestionably ‘4 real’. They never shy away from showing their truest feelings, even if those are of vulnerability or weakness. It’s this honesty which has spoken to people and will speak to a hell of a lot more when ‘Silent Alarm’ rings out beyond the desks of music journalists.”
