Blossoms share new music video for ‘There’s A Reason Why’

"When we wanted to make a video overseas somewhere, it was always going to be Tokyo"

Blossoms have shared the new music video for ‘There’s A Reason Why (I Never Returned Your Calls) – and it sees the Stockport heroes heading to the streets of Tokyo.

The track comes from ‘Cool Like You‘, their second album released today, and it’s been accompanied by a video that reflects the synth-driven sound.

“Shooting a music video in Japan was something we’d wanted to do for a while”, the band said of the video.

“We took influence from The Beatles A Hard Days Night and tried to capture the camaraderie between us a band of friends.

“We’ve been to Japan a couple of times and we fell in love with it from the first time we went. When we wanted to make a video overseas somewhere, it was always going to be Tokyo. We loved being chased around the streets and It made five lads from Stockport feel like the Beatles for a day”.

Upon release, NME hailed ‘Cool Like You’ as a “follow-up that waggles two fingers at the notion of a ‘difficult second album’”.

“Whether or not that could be a festival headline show falls down to fate and fashion, but with their second album Blossoms have certainly had a damn good crack”, our official verdict stated.
