The pair joined forces at their Big Feastival event over the weekend
Blur bassist Alex James performed a DJ set with TV chef Jamie Oliver during their Big Feastival event.
The music and food festival took place in Kingham, near Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire, over the weekend (August 28-30).
During his DJ set, James played ‘Wonderwall’ by his band’s former Britpop rivals Oasis, with Oliver dancing and pumping his fists in the air.
Alex James recently said that he “hopes Oasis get back together” so they can support Blur on tour, with the bassist later saying that Damon Albarn and Noel are “quite good friends” now. Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher recently named Blur’s ‘Lonesome Street’ the “song of the year”.
Speaking about the thawing in the two bands’ relationship, James said: “Liam’s come out and said ‘Lonesome Street’ is his favourite song of the year, God bless him. And Damon and Noel are quite good friends now. So, I think, let’s focus on the positives. It’s lovely that it’s got a happy ending. I hope they get back together. They can support us.”
