They're heading for the studio, according to Alex James
The bassist claims they want to give it one last try together – and if the reunion doesn’t work out they will simply go their separate ways.
“We’re all heading into the studio together this summer – Graham‘s coming too,” he told Dotmusic. “We’re gonna see if we’ve still got it. If not, I think we’ll just call it a day.”
Should their time in the studio go to plan, the ensuing recording will be the first since Blur’s 2003 release ‘Think Tank’ – the sessions for which famously saw Coxon quit the band for good. His former bandmates Alex James, Damon Albarn and Dave Rowntree finished it off without him.
Alex James – the self-confessed “second drunkest member of the drunkest band in Britain” – is releasing an autobiography, ‘Bit Of A Blur’, later this year.
