Blur rare tracks revealed

'Parklife' demos turn up

Demos from Blur’s seminal album ‘Parklife’ have appeared on line.

The two tracks are ‘Parklife’ and ‘Girls and Boys’, which were both UK Top Ten hits when eventually released as singles in 1994.

The title track of the album features Damon Albarn performing the spoken word verses made famous by Phil Daniels and a prominent Hammond organ part.

Meanwhile the demo of ‘Girls And Boys’ is much more electro-sounding than the released song, recalling Gary Numan.
