Bobby Brown requests ‘privacy’ for his and Whitney Houston’s hospitalised daughter

Bobbi Kristina Brown was hospitalised on Saturday (January 31)

Singer Bobby Brown has issued a statement following the hospitalisation of Bobbi Kristina, his daughter by the late Whitney Houston.

Bobbi Kristina Brown (pictured above) was found unresponsive in a bathtub by her husband and a friend on Saturday (January 31). A spokesperson for the police say she was given CPR until emergency services arrived.

Conflicting reports say she was then either placed into a medically induced coma, or that she is in a stable condition in Roswell, Georgia.

In a statement published by USA Today, Brown said: “Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time.”

Whitney Houston was found dead in a bathtub on February 11, 2012. Her cause of death was recorded as being due to accidental drowning, heart disease and cocaine use.

Brown’s cousin, Jerod Brown, told The Mirror that the 21-year-old did not use drugs, and police did not find any drugs while searching her property. “We don’t know what happened yet, we don’t know why she was unresponsive,” said the relative. “Krissi doesn’t do drugs, she hasn’t been drinking or doing drugs and she has cut down on cigarettes.”
