Bombay Bicycle Club add second Manchester gig – ticket details

The band will play Albert Hall on March 20 and 21 of next year

Bombay Bicycle Club have added a second Manchester show to their UK tour, set to take place in March next year.

The band will now play another show at Manchester Albert Hall, following their March 20 gig with a show on the evening of March 21, due to demand. The band play 15 gigs on the stretch, including a homecoming show at London’s Brixton Academy on March 13, which is now sold out. The tour starts in Leeds on March 2, 2014.

The London band will release their fourth album in early 2014 and recently revealed new song ‘Carry Me’ from the album. Speaking to NME recently, frontman Jack Steadman explained how exploring the globe helped him personally, as well as providing influence for new songs.

“I think the travelling gave me a sense of wellbeing rather than any direct musical influence,” Steadman says. “Also, we were getting more inspired by samples. They become the springboard for your song and, whether it’s an Indian song or something with Thai chanting, you should never deny that inspiration just because it sounds silly or because the thought of it is weird.”

Bombay Bicycle Club will play:

Leeds, O2 Academy (March 2)
Glasgow, O2 Academy (3)
Aberdeen, Music Hall (4)
Newcastle, O2 Academy (5)
Nottingham, Rock City (7)
Birmingham, O2 Academy (8)
