Lady Gaga has an unlikely challenger in the Official UK Albums Chart in the shape of Bon Iver.
The Justin Vernon-fronted folk outfit released their eponymous second album this week, and it is proving a surprise smash. In the midweek charts, published today (June 22), there are just 1,000 sales between it and Lady Gaga‘s ‘Born This Way’.
The rest of the Top 10 sees both Adele albums ’19’ and ’21’, and Take That‘s ‘Progressed’ holding firm.
Meanwhile in the Official UK Singles Chart, Jason Derulo is set to score his second Number One with ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’, which as things stand knocks Example‘s ‘Changed The Way You Kiss Me’ to second place.
Lady Gaga‘s ‘The Edge Of Glory’ is up from 16 to eight, perhaps owing to it featuring the final recorded performance from saxophonist Clarence Clemons, who died last week.
