And they'll be following that up with a retrospective box set...

BON JOVI are planning to release a new studio album next year, followed by a retrospective box set to mark the band’s 20th anniversary.

Speaking to in the US, the band’s mainman Jon Bon Jovi said that he currently doesn’t “have anything to say as a solo artist”.

As a consequence, the band will enter the studio in January to work on a new album, due for release later in 2002.

He said: “I’ve already started writing a little bit. Right now, I don’t have anything to say as a solo artist. I know what I want to say as a band voice.”

Bon Jovi have just released a live album, titled ‘One Wild Night’.
