Florence And The Machine picks up Critic’s Choice Award at BRITs

Florence Welch thanks NME editor in speech

Florence And The Machine has been named the Critics’ Choice at this year’s BRIT Awards, which are taking place tonight (February 18) in London.

Florence Welch accepted her award from Kylie Minogue wearing a gold trouser suit – and thanked NME editor Conor McNicholas in her speech.

“There are so many people I wanna say thank you to,” she said. “Firstly, to the critics, and also my friends and family and all the people who’ve supported me.”

“Also I’d like to say thank you to Zane (Lowe), Conor, and my record label. I’m gonna go and get drunk now!”
