THAT’S HER PREROGATIVE!

The star has recorded a cover version for the record - and it's bound to get people talking...

BRITNEY SPEARS releases a greatest hits compilation – and has taken some unlikely inspiration.

November 15 sees the release of ‘My Prerogative…Greatest Hits’, and yes, the title track – released as a single the week before – really is a cover of Bobby Brown’s 1988 hit.

The cover will doubtless be seen as a riposte to critics who have been pre-occupied with Spears’ private life over the past year. According to US reports, a lookalike of her fiancé Kevin Ferdeline will be cast in the video. The song has also been covered by London shock-pop outfit Selfish Cunt on their forthcoming album.

There is another new song on the compilation, ‘Outrageous’, which makes the tracklisting:

’My Prerogative’

‘Toxic’

’…Baby One More Time’

’Oops… I Did It Again’

’Everytime’

’Me Against The Music’

’Boys’

’(You Drive Me) Crazy’

’Overprotected’

’Stronger’

’Don’t Let Me Be The Last To Know’

’Outrageous’

’Born To Make You Happy’

’I Love Rock’n’Roll’

’Sometimes’

’Lucky’

’I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman’
