BRITNEY’S A SINGLE GIRL

The pop queen's latest release comes in the build-up to her long-awaited UK tour...

Pop queen Britney Spears is to follow her chart topping hit ‘OOPS… I DID IT AGAIN’ with the aptly titled ‘LUCKY’, through JIVE RECORDS on August 14.

The track is the second from her multi-million selling second album, also called ‘Oops… I Did It Again’.

A brand new Britney track, ‘Heart’ will feature on the CD single, alongside a Jack D Elliot mix of ‘Lucky’.

And the starlet recently revealed that the one thing she is looking forward to when her UK tour kicks off in Birmingham on October 7 is hitting the nation’s shops.

“I’m looking forward to having a look round Birmingham and Manchester and maybe doing a bit of shopping,” she said.

Fans will be hoping all necessary steps will have been taken to accommodate the singer’s stage show. As reported on nme.com earlier this week, a concert planned for July 26 was pulled because the stage wasn’t big enough for Britney’s lavish set.

And in other Britney news, it has been reported today that the Britney mixed with Eminem track which is widely available on various Internet file swapping sites – including Napster – has met with a favourable response from her. Ms Spears is said to be ‘cool’ with the track, which sees ‘Oops.. I Did It Again’ mixed with ‘The Real Slim Shady’, while Eminem is ‘beyond angry’ at the results.
