THREE WEEKS AT THE TOP? ‘SAY IT AIN’T SO

But will they knock Hear'say off the top?...

THE AVALANCHES, ARCHITECHS, CRAZY TOWN and BRITNEY SPEARS are the artists hoping to knock HEAR’SAY from this week’s Number One spot.

Hear’say achieved a second week at Number One yesterday (March 25) with their debut single ‘Pure And Simple’.

A chart commentator at HMV in London told NME.COM that it was unlikely that any of this week’s new releases would stop Hear’say making it three weeks at the top.

However, he said that of the new releases, The Avalanches‘ ‘Since I Left You’, Architechs‘ ‘Show Me The Money’, Crazy Town’s ‘Butterfly’ and Britney Spears‘ ‘Don’t Let Me Be The Last To Know’ are all likely Top Ten hits.

Elsewhere, the Bee Gees release ‘This Is Where I Came In’ via Polydor and Ocean Colour Scene release ‘Up On The Down Side’. Both are expected to be Top 20 hits.

A number of other bands release singles; Disturbed release ‘Voices’ via RCA, Run DMC release ‘Rock Show’ via Arista and Ruby releases ‘Grace’ via Wichita.
