Leon Bridges will also perform with guests hosts confirmed as Ryan Gosling, Chris Hemsworth, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey
Bruce Springsteen, Chance The Rapper and Leon Bridges have been announced as musical guests on Saturday Night Live in December.
Springsteen & The E Street Band will feature on SNL’s final show of the year, co-hosted by Amy Poehler and Tina Fey on December 19. Both previously starred as regulars on the US sketch show and will be promoting their new comedy film Sisters, released in late December. This SNL appearance will be Tina Fey’s third time hosting, and Amy Poehler’s second.
Also performing on the long-running series in December will be American soul singer Leon Bridges, who released his debut album ‘Coming Home’ in June this year. He will join host Ryan Gosling for his SNL debut on December 5.
Chance The Rapper, meanwhile, will be the show’s musical act on December 12, which is hosted by Thor actor Chris Hemsworth. The Australian actor hosted the show for the first time in March this year.
Earlier this month, US business tycoon-turned-politician Donald Trump hosted the show for the first time. Trump is currently running to be named as the Republican’s Presidential Candidate and his appearance on the show proved controversial.
This year has seen a variety of musical acts perform on the show including Disclosure, Prince and Florence + The Machine. This weekend’s show (November 21) will see Adele perform live in one of her first appearances following the release of her forthcoming album ‘25’, which hits shelves on Friday.
Meanwhile, Lorde was forced to deny that she was not lip-synching following her performance on the show with Disclosure this past weekend. She provided vocals for their collaboration ‘Magnets’ which features on Disclosure’s latest album ‘Caracal’. The electronic-duo also performed lead single ‘Omen’ from the same album with chart-busting pop star Sam Smith.
