Bruce Springsteen performs surprise set at New Jersey bar – watch

The two-hour set took place at the city's Wonder Bar venue on Saturday night (July 18)

Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance at a bar in his hometown of New Jersey on Saturday night (July 18), performing live with ex- Iron City Houserockers frontman Joe Grushecky.

Grushecky was playing at Wonder Bar in the US city, when Springsteen teamed up with him live on the modest stage.

As Rolling Stone reports, Springsteen joined Grushecky three songs in, with the pair continuing for a two-hour set, playing ‘Never Enough Time’, ‘Adam Raised A Cain’, ‘Atlantic City’, ‘Because The Night’, ‘Code of Silence’, ‘Light of Day’, among other songs.

Springsteen recently joined Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson in New Jersey. Wilson was performing at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, with Springsteen collaborating with the singer for Beach Boys classics ‘Barbara Ann’ and ‘Surfin’ USA’.

Springsteen last performed with Wilson in 2007, again performing in New Jersey as well as covering those same two tracks.
