IF THE CAPONE FITS…

Tommy Boy are set to release 'Invincible', despite rumours that the duo are about to sign to Def Jam...

TOMMY BOY RECORDS are set to release ‘INVINCIBLE’ by their want-away hip hop stars CAPONE-N-NOREAGA without the duo’s knowledge, NME.COM can reveal.

The track, a re-release, will be issued on March 5 in the UK, despite the fact that no one is certain at present if Capone-N-Norega are still actually with Tommy Boy.

It has been widely rumoured throughout the hip hop community that the pair are on the verge of signing to Def Jam, the home of stars such as Jay-Z and DMX. Capone-N-Norega have fulfilled the terms of their Tommy Boy contract with the release of their two albums, ‘The War Report’ and 2000’s ‘The Reunion’. Def Jam could not be reached for comment at press time this afternoon (January 25), while a spokesperson for Tommy Boy said the company had no comment to make on the situation at present.

He added that releasing the single without the prior consent of Capone-N-Noreaga was a not uncommon practice.
