FROM ‘INTERNATIONAL VELVET’ TO INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

Hasn't he been through enough, after the Monicagate affair?...

CATATONIA‘s CERYS MATTHEWS is expected to sing for former US President BILL CLINTON this weekend.

The Welsh star is among dozens of guests invited to join Clinton and his daughter, Chelsea, at a swish dinner being held at the Hay-On-Wye literature festival on Saturday (May 26).

Cerys is one of many artists who are said to have expressed an interest in performing for the former world leader.

Festival director Peter Florence told NME.COM that a full guestlist and programme would not be revealed in advance for security reasons – but he said it contained “stars of stellar weight”.

The annual festival regularly features musical stars as well as writers. Pulp kick off the event with a gig tonight (May 24), and Paul McCartney will be reading poetry on Sunday.
