Well, if she can do it in front of Bill Clinton...
CERYS MATTHEWS is to sing for up to 800 South Wales business leaders, to raise money for this year’s Special Olympics.
The Catatonia singer, who recently sang folk songs for Bill Clinton at the Hay-On-Wye Literature Festival, is to join West End crooner Peter Karrie for a singalong at the Celtic Manor Resort, a plush five-star hotel complex and golf course on the outskirts of Newport.
The gala evening has been confirmed for July 26, and will round off a charity corporate golf day at the course.
Cerys agreed to take part after being approached by Welsh business billionaire Terry Matthews (no relation).
She said: “I am delighted to be able to support such a special cause.
“It’s great to see yet another major event coming to Cardiff for the first time – especially an event for some of the most special people in the community.”
More than 2,500 sportsmen and women with learning difficulties will compete in the games, which begin in Cardiff on July 28.
