Faris Badwan: ‘Working away from The Horrors has been liberating’

Singer says he's relishing his time in Cat's Eyes

Faris Badwan has said that he has found his experience of working on something other than The Horrors “liberating”.

The frontman, who speaks about his new project Cat’s Eyes in the new issue of NME, said he’s relished time working away from the noir-clad rockers.

“I don’t want to say The Horrors is limited,” he said. “But it’s a very defined aesthetic and it’s very different to Cat’s Eyes. They’re the expression of two different things, being able to do something else – it has been very liberating.”

Cat’s Eyes is Badwan‘s new band with musician Rachel Zeffira. Their self-titled debut album is out on April 11.
