Charli XCX has premiered her brand new single ‘Unlock It’ featuring Korean-American R&B artist and Roc Nation signee Jay Park and German pop star, Kim Petras.
The track was debuted on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show and will appear on Charli’s A.G. Cook produced upcoming mixtape ‘POP 2’ which features a star-studded cast including MØ, CupcakKe, Carly Rae Jepsen, Mykki Blanco, and Caroline Polachek. The mixtape is out this week (December 15).

During her interview with Zane Lowe, XCX explained her relationship with both the featuring artists as well as what era she thinks her music would be most appreciated: “If I could pick at a time, I would have loved to be a musician and in the 70s. I feel like I would have really crushed it. I would have been a good time for me you know.”

Charli previously shared a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the ‘Boys’ video, which featured Joe Jonas, Mac DeMarco, Bastille‘s Dan Smith, Panic At The Disco‘s Brendan Urie, Bleachers‘ Jack Antonoff, Joey Bada$$, Diplo, Stormzy, Riz Ahmed and more.
This new clip sees the video being filmed in London and at Coachella Festival. It shows The Vamps having a cake fight and Bring Me The Horizon‘s Oli Sykes being – in Charli’s own words – “really fit, basically”.
