Dance duo end Chelmsford's festival with myriad of hits

The Chemical Brothers brought V Festival to a close tonight (August 17) with a spectacular laser light show in Chelmsford.

Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands mixed together a selection of their biggest hits as they closed festivities in the JJB Arena.

The duo were flanked on many songs by an impressive lasers, that were used most prominently on ‘Under The Influence’ and ‘Hey Boy Hey Girl’.

A number of tracks featuring guest vocalists were performed, including ‘Out Of Control’ and ‘Believe’, which feature New Order‘s Bernard Sumner and Bloc Party‘s Kele Okereke, respectively, although none of the guest stars were there to sing in person.

The group then ended their set with a rendition of 1997’s UK Number One single ‘Block Rockin’ Beats’, which disintegrated into electronic feedback at its climax.
