Prime Minister asked mogul to helm project
Simon Cowell has revealed that he is organising a charity single for the Haiti earthquake appeal at the request of UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
Cowell said that he would involve “whoever we’ve got available” in the project, with Cheryl Cole already giving the plan her backing.
“We haven’t got an awful lot of time,” he said, “but we are going to do something and attempt to raise as much money as possible. I’ve got to try and get it all together in about 48 hours.”
U2’s Bono and Jay-Z have recorded a Haiti earthquake appeal single too – although they have not announced its release details yet.
