Chipmunk tops the UK singles chart

Hip hop star keeps The Saturdays off number one

Chipmunk has achieved his first UK number one today (October 11).

The rising UK hip-hop star has hit the top spot with new single ‘Oopsy Daisy’, denying girl group The Saturdays a number one with their new track ‘Forever Is Over’

Meanwhile Jay-Z has two tracks in the top ten, with ‘Run This Town’ holding on at ten, despite the heavy rotation of follow up ‘Empire State Of Mind’.

On the album chart, Barbra Streisand‘s appearance on Jonathan Ross‘ chat show on Friday has helped propel her album ‘Love Is The Answer’ to number one, pushing Paramore‘s ‘Brand New Eyes’ down to three.
