The show poked fun at Martin's clothing
The Emmy award-winning programme has welcomed a whole host of stars since it first premiered in 2009.
Martin showed up in Wednesday’s episode (Nov 29) playing himself. In the first clip, Martin is seen making fun of his attire, saying to ‘wear a short-sleeved t-shit over a long-sleeved one so people know you have multiple shirts.’ You can watch the clip below.
Later, Martin sings a song for a hospitalized Phil Dunphy (played by Ty Burrell) and also turns up to place some ice on Dunphy’s balls. You can watch those clips below.
Earlier this week, U2 frontman Bono teamed up with Martin on Jimmy Kimmel Live to cover ‘One for My Baby (and One More for the Road)’, with a special cameo from actor Sean Penn.
The US late-night show aired a special episode on Tuesday (November 28) in support of AIDS charity RED. During the episode, Bono and Martin covered the Harold Arlen and Johnny Mercer song that was popularised by Frank Sinatra.
