While Norah Jones stays top of album chart...
Christina Aguilera remains at number one on the UK single chart today (March 10) for a second week with ‘Beautiful’, and Norah Jones maintains her position at the top of the album chart.
Kylie Minogue’s younger, less successful sister Danii scores the highest new entry at two with ‘I Begin To Wonder’. Eminem fails to replicate the chart-topping success of ‘Lose Yourself’, going in at six with ‘Sing For The Moment’. However, he does win the battle of US heavyweights, beating Nelly & Justin Timberlake, who could only manage seven with ‘Work It’. Fallen Pop Idol Darius enters at nine with ‘Incredible’ while The Coral score a top 10 hit at 10 with ‘Don’t Think You’re The First’.
There is little other movement on the top 20 as veterans the Mock Turtles go in at 19 with ‘Can You Dig It’ on the back of the song being used in a Vodaphone ad.
Bad Company enter at 24 with ‘Mo Fire’ while Slipknot side project Stone Sour enter at 28 with ‘Bother’.
The Bangles comeback flops as ‘Something That You Said’ enters at 28, just below shock-rock pantomime outfit Cradle Of Filth who enter at 35 with ‘Babalon AD’.
There is only one new entry on the album chart as Turin Brakes slide in at four with ‘Ether Song’. Christina Aguilera climbs to two with ‘Stripped’ on the back of her single success.
