Passion Pit shine at Club NME New York CMJ special

Fans storm the stage at packed show last night (October 24)

Passion Pit’s status as the true buzz band of CMJ 2008 was sealed last night as crowds of people showed up to Annex to see their set, stuffing the venue to capacity.

Throngs of fans stormed the stage for their track ‘Sleepyhead’ as the band performed Club NME’s second CMJ party this week, alongside Kuroma, Johnny Foreigner and Heartsrevolution.

Little Boots performed her third gig of the day at the event, which also saw a slot from The Whip.

As previously reported, CMJ 2008 kicked off in New York on October 21, with a packed house at Club NME at Annex.

Apache Beat kicked-off the four-band bill, joined onstage for their entire set by Lightspeed Champion’s Dev Hynes on guitar, followed by Violens.

Chairlift and Amazing Baby completed the line-up.

CMJ 2008 wraps up tomorrow (October 25).
