Fans have reacted online to Coldplay‘s Glastonbury headline set tonight (June 26).
During the set, the band paid tribute to Warrington band Viola Beach, who were tragically killed in a car accident in Sweden earlier this year.
The group, led by Chris Martin also invited Bee Gees’ Barry Gibb on stage to cover some of his classic tracks and finished the set with festival organiser Michael Eavis covering Frank Sinatra‘s ‘My Way’.
Fans watching Coldplay’s set on the Pyramid Stage were full of praise for the band, with even a handful of people who wouldn’t class themselves as fans showing respect to the group.
As much as I slay off coldplay it's class what they did for viola beach
