The band will play extra shows in London and Manchester

Coldplay have announced that they will be playing two extra shows on their 2012 stadium tour of the UK.

The band have added a third show at London Emirates Stadium on June 4 and a second show at Manchester Etihad Stadium on June 10.

Tickets for Coldplay‘s five original stadium shows went on sale earlier today (November 18). The tickets for the two London shows sold out within 30 minutes.

The band, who released their fifth studio album ‘Mylo Xyloto’ on October 24, will now play seven stadium shows around the UK in May and June.

The band will first headline Coventry‘s Ricoh Arena on May 29, before playing three dates at London‘s Emirates Stadium on June 1, 2, 4. They will then play Sunderland‘s Stadium Of Light on June 7 and Manchester‘s Etihad Stadium on June 9, 10.

Coldplay also tour the UK in December, playing three arena shows.
