It sees Barnett play a lift attendant who encounters a series of strange characters before the lift takes her onto the roof of Melbourne business landmark Nicholas Building with her band. The building is mentioned in the song, and as with its other lyrics, Barnett imagines she’s playing Sim City.

The video is directed by Sunny Leunig, son of cartoonist Michael Leunig, who also cameos in the video.

The single is taken from 2015’s debut album ‘Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit’ and previews next week’s headline appearance at Summer Series festival at London’s Somerset House. Barnett also plays at Latitude Festival on July 15, where she is fourth on the main Obelisk Arena stage in between Father John Misty and British Sea Power on the festival’s opening day, which is headlined by The Maccabees.

Barnett recently recorded a song for The Breeders’ new album following her first appearance on Saturday Night Live[/a]. She also covered The Lemonheads’ ‘Paid To Smile’ for a Canadian radio session.
