Courtney Love to auction Kurt Cobain’s belongings

The singer also names her new album

Courtney Love is set to auction off Kurt Cobain’s belongings.

The former Hole frontwoman is planning to sell the Nirvana frontman’s belonging at auction house Christie’s.

Love said: “I’m going to have a Christie’s auction. (My house) is like a mausoleum. My daughter doesn’t need to inherit a giant hefty bag full of flannel fucking shirts… A sweater, a guitar and the lyrics to ’Teen Spirit’ – that’s what my daughter gets. And the rest of it we’ll just fucking sell.

“We’ll make a lot of money and give a bunch of it to charity.”

Explaining that Cobain was still a dominant influence in Love‘s life, she said: “I still wear his pyjamas to bed. How am I ever going to form another relationship in my lifetime wearing Kurt’s pyjamas?”

Love also said that her new album would be called ’Nobody’s Daughter’.

Explaining the title, she said: “I think the title just says it all. I’m not pouting. I’m not playing anything up. I don’t have parents that I acknowledge. I’m nobody’s daughter. I’m nobody’s wife. I’m nobody’s bitch.

“I’m nobody’s daughter. I’m nobody’s widow. I’m somebody’s mother. Other than that, I don’t identify with these other female roles I’m supposed to have.”

No release date for the album has been announced, reports Spinner.
