COURTNEY TURNS HERSELF IN

The star is out of hospital, and back in the company of the LAPD...

COURTNEY LOVE is no longer a fugitive in the state of California.

The singer was wanted on an arrest warrant by Californian police for missing a mandatory court date two weeks ago, but she turned herself in to Los Angeles Police Department officials Friday afternoon (July 23), where she posted bail.

Love’s latest brush with the law relates to a charge in Los Angeles, assault with a deadly weapon, which she is accused of committing in April of this year.

Love was supposed to face the music at an arraignment on the alleged assault earlier this month, but her lawyer turned up and told the judge she was still in New York.

Commissioner Mulcahy, who presided over the court, said the singer deserved no special treatment and issued a bench warrant for her arrest and slapped her with bail of $150,000.

Hours after that judgement, reports surfaced that Love had been taken to a hospital, suffering from what her lawyer described as “gynaecological issues.”

According to her lawyers, she has been in at least two medical facilities since that time.
