Courtney Love turned up in an LA courtroom yesterday (November 10) to plead not guilty to a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

The singer, flanked by her lawyer Howard Weitzman, had previously plead not guilty on the charge. She was required on Wednesday to enter her plea again, this time formally after a Judge determined at a preliminary hearing last month there was enough evidence for the case to move forward to trial.

The original charge was filed by the District Attorney’s Office in June but stems from an incident in April when Courtney Love allegedly threw a whisky bottle and large candle at a local musician.

She is required to return to court on December 15 for a preliminary hearing. She remains free on $150,000 bail.
