He's denied all wrongdoing
Crystal Castles founder Ethan Kath is facing an investigation into sex crimes, it has been confirmed.
The producer, real name Claudio Palmieri, is the subject of an ‘ongoing investigation’ by the Toronto Police Department.
Although the nature of Palmieri’s offences are yet to be revealed, one woman reportedly alleges that Palmieri began contacting her online when she was just 15, before initiating a sexual relationship only a year later.
A lawyer representing Palmieri has subsequently denied the claims, describing them as a “sickening” attempt to “injure” his reputation.
“These sickening and vile allegations are an attempt to injure my client’s reputation and in turn hurt actual victims of abuse”, he confirmed to Pitchfork.
“He figured out my insecurities and exploited them: he used the things he learned about me against me. Over a period of many months, he gave me drugs and alcohol and had sex with me in an abandoned room at an apartment he managed. It wasn’t always consensual and he remained sober whenever we were together”, Glass claimed.
Kath has since pursued legal action against Glass, with a court summons delivered by someone posing as a fan at Glass’s recent show in Chicago.
