Today’s top gossip:
Peter Andre is still mixing in the highest circles in the land, we read – according to the red-tops the Aussie pop chap has bagged an invite to Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s wedding.
Andre will head to the Westminster Abbey event on April 29 to see the pair tie the knot, and has unfortunately had to cancel a fundraising performance for autistic kids in Preston so he can make it. No word on whether he’ll actually be let near a microphone on the big day, mind (Daily Star).
From the papers and beyond:
Tinie Tempah looks set to enter the world of WWE wrestling – by having his song ‘Written In The Stars’ chosen as one of the official tunes of the forthcoming WrestleMania XXVII event. The grapple event takes place on April 3 in Atlanta (The Sun).
Ronnie Wood‘s rehabilitation looks to be going well. According to the red-tops he’s now meeting up regularly to go to pottery classes – with comic Vic Reeves, no less (The Sun).
Suggs knows how to party with the cool kids still – he was seen out on the razz in London trend-haven Shoreditch recently (Daily Star).
Kanye West‘s first restaurant has closed its doors for good. His Chicago branch of Fatburger, which opened in 2008, is said to have ceased trading because of poor sales (various).
Despite their high profiles on the continent, Hurts are still a way off full celebrity status in their hometown of Manchester, it seems. Adam Anderson from the band said: “In Europe success and fame feels very close. But back here, particularly in Manchester, none of it counts for anything. I’ve just been buying bread – you quickly crash down to earth” (The Sun).
