Lady Gaga has said that she takes cocaine “maybe a couple of times a year”. However, despite speaking openly about her “occasional” use of the drug, the singer warned her fans not to copy her, saying: “I do not want my fans to ever emulate that or be that way.” She also said she was “quite celibate”, adding that she’s worried that if she sleeps with someone she’ll lose her songwriting talent. “I have this weird thing that if I sleep with someone they’re going to take my creativity from me through my vagina,” she said (Vanity Fair).

Calvin Harris was apparently left “screaming” after being locked in a festival portaloo by members of Madness during last weekend’s (July 30-August 1) Camp Bestival. The Scottish producer-turned-singer is said to have annoyed the ska band after being grumpy with one of their children backstage at the Dorset festival. An onlooker described how the situation unfolded, saying: “He was in the toilet and one of the guys bolted it shut. A roadie started rattling it and Calvin was screaming. It was hilarious.” Security allegedly helped rescue the singer (various).

Mark Owen and Sophie Ellis-Bextor chatted after randomly bumping into each other at London City Airport (Daily Mirror).

Cheryl Cole had her minders perform a safety check on a Los Angeles branch of Subway before deciding to order some lunch from there. She had a six-inch turkey and avocado sub, while friend Derek Hough plumped for the turkey six-inch (Daily Star).

Tom Jones was paid £3.1 million for a 90-minute gig in aid of the Red Cross in Monaco on Friday (July 30). He’s said to have donated a large portion of the fee to charity (Daily Mirror).
