Comic Jack Dee apparently almost made Jedward cry during filming for the latest series of Never Mind The Buzzcocks, because he taunted them so much. From the papers:

Sunderland midfielder and budding singer/songwriter Andy Reid has appealed for the return of two prized guitars which were stolen form a Durham recording studio. He reported the blonde 1975 Gibson Les Paul and 1981 Fender Stratocaster missing last Thursday, but police have so far been unable to find the instruments. Reid said: “It’s not about the monetary value of them; they’re just really important to me. The two guitars are very distinctive and fantastic to play, which makes them extremely difficult to replace.” Anyone with information about the instruments is urged to contact Durham Police on 0345 60 60 365 (Safc.com).

Wayne Rooney wore a Beatles T-shirt while having a scan on his crocked ankle in Manchester (The Sun).
